Atellus brought his head up and looked at Fate with a sadened expression. "I don't know what these two-legged things are that you speak of, Fate, but I assure you we've never seen them here." he then smiled at her reasuringly.
Looking up at the high afternoon sun he turned to the mares "I think we should head back to the mountain now, we've had our fair share of adventures down here." he said chuckling. "Fate, you may come with us if you like, we have plenty of room."
With that he turned and headed towards the rocky slopes in the distance. They came to the base of the mountain and Atellus picked his way carefully through the crumbling rocks for the mares. His hooves rang rhythmicaly(sp) on the base of the mountain as they struck the hard surface. He lowered his neck the higher they climbed up the incline, getting the leverage he needed to keep from stumbling. He finally arrived at the little mountain spring and they followed it to the cave. He walked inside it, happy to see it once again. Small, purple gems inside it sparkling just as they always did.

Naneek followed Atellus into teh magical cave. Of course she was overly tired. She layed down in to moss and fell asleep.

The golden mare followed Atrellus as they headed up to the mountains, glad that he had invited her to stay with them. She picked a slightly different route up the mountain behind Atrellus. Her pale tail a flag behind her. Her ears pricked as she looked around. They approached a crystal spring and they followed the beautiful sliver on the ground to a dark, yet mystical looking cave where they stopped. Her mane drapped over her neck as she streched a bit. She twitched a bit when Naneek suddenly began to sleep. Then she sighed and layed down on some more moss not far from the pinto mare. Her pale forelock covering her eyes as she drifted off. {- Bleh. That sucked but whatever XD -}

Atellus smiled gently at the two mares. He stayed up for a bit longer, watching the stars and the moon from the high vantage point of his mountain cave. The stars were especially bright this night, the sky was very clear and cool.
After a bit he layed down beside Naneek and slept, letting his weary body rest itself, if for only a little while.

Naneek rustled in the dark cave, she was still asleep, just having a horrible dream. She whhinned, and opened her eyes, nothing was there. She closed her eyes and snuggles up to Atellus, feeling his protection. But the dream came back, it wouldn't leave her alone.

Atellus woke up grogily(sp) at the sound of Naneek's small whinnies. Lifting his head he nudged her shoulder gently "You alright?" he asked looking at her worriedly. "Are you hurt?"

Naneek shot up. "Oh Atellus, Im sorry.. I just had a bad dream." She smiled weakly and got up, trying to strech her muscles.
